Marking its decennial anniversary, this year's festival promises an even richer and more diverse program, blending artistic excellence with popular appeal to engage both seasoned opera enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

A Festival of Grandeur and Accessibility

Since its inception in 2016, the Seogwipo Opera Festival has been a cornerstone of local culture and arts, passionately developed by Jeju-born artistic director Kim Su-jung in collaboration with the Seogwipo Arts Center. The festival aims not only to showcase world-class opera but also to provide a vibrant cultural exchange platform for local artists and to boost cultural tourism on the island.
