Jeju Hosts Dance Workshop for Talented Youth

Jeju is set to host a unique dance workshop tailored for talented young dancers in the region. This special event will feature renowned ballet choreographers and dancers from Portugal, offering a valuable learning experience for aspiring artists.

Workshop Details

  • Date: Friday, July 25, 2025
  • Time: 10:00 AM
  • Location: Be:IN Theater (비인극장)
  • Content: A dance workshop led by famous Portuguese ballet choreographers and dancers, targeting children and adolescents in the Jeju area who are learning dance.
  • Target Audience: Students aged 7 to 15 who are currently learning dance, regardless of their major.
  • Participation Fee: Free.

Instructors

The workshop will be led by two distinguished instructors:

Marina Fernandez

Portrait of Marina Fernandez, a contemporary dancer and choreographer from France.
A contemporary dancer and choreographer from France. Marina received her ballet education at the National Dance School of Marseille and performed as a dancer in France and Germany before joining the Lithuanian Aura Dance Theatre in 2016. She received the Best Choreography Award at the 2025 Italian Corpo Mobile Festival for her work, "Un Fil".





Heungwon Lee

A contemporary dancer and choreographer from South Korea. Heungwon graduated from the Korea National University of Arts, School of Dance, and worked with the National Contemporary Dance Company. He then expanded his career to Europe, performing in numerous theaters and festivals. He joined the Aura Dance Theatre in 2019 and co-founded MH Contemporary Dance Company with Marina Fernandez. His work focuses on flexible movements based on acrobatics and floor work. He will also serve as the interpreter for the workshop.
